Feeling blah...

I've been feeling blah lately about my appearance. We all go through this, I know!

Anyways, I decided to dye my bangs to cover up the sad little blonde streak that has almost completely grown out. I was hoping for something that looked cool and paneled, so I chose a very dark brown. After washing it out and restyling my hair, I realize that it kind of matches my hair color exactly. Oh well! It still looks better than it did! I also trimmed my bangs again - since I'm trying to grow out my hair, I've been saving money by just trimming them myself. They look pretty good, I think!

See that super cute necklace? It was handmade by my friend Brooke over at Pretty Penny Mae. You should check out her etsy shop too - she has lots of whimsical necklaces and other goodies. Also, her blog is super fun, follow her immediately. Do it. do it now.

Another thing I did was buy a cute matching bra/panty set from Avenue, if you must know :). Cute underthings always make me feel more confident. But only if they are comfy too.

Ok, retail + self-hair-styling therapy have made me feel better. Commence non-blah-feeling in 3...2...1...

I never trust myself to cut my own fringe (bangs)- I know it would end up wonky or too short. I love the necklace! I adore quirkly jewellery!

Love your blog! I ran across it when I stumbled upon your etsy shop, which I love too. Ever consider making one of your bows and selling them on etsy?? I'd love a big ole bow to wear with different outfits. My blog and etsy shop are thriftymommasays.blogspot.com/ and giddyupgirlz.etsy.com if you get a chance check them out. Also I'm loving the layered look and went to thrift store today and tried to pull together a dress, scarf, shoes to layer with some things I already have inspired by your layering.

Monkey - I totally know what you mean! I have had 1 disastrous self-inflicted bang trim, and several that weren't so great. The key is to be super super sparing on how much I cut. I can always cut more :)

Thrifty Momma -thanks so much! I will definitely check out your blog and etsy shop too! I'm so glad I inspired you to try a new look! Also, that's a great idea about the bows.
