The Beth Ditto Polka Dotted Dress

Folks, I had been waiting for my order from Evans, which included the polka dotted dress of awesomeness to come in for 2 weeks. It was torture! Not really, that's melodramatic and completely inaccurate. Well, the 2 weeks part is accurate.

Anyways.

It came last week, along with a few other pieces that all fit and look great! You'll be seeing them over the next few weeks I'm sure.

But the item I was most excited about was the dress. I'd seen it on so many other bloggers at this point (Natalie rocks it here and so does the lovely Cuppy), it was just making me more excited and impatient for mine to arrive.

So impatient that I didn't even wait to get proper photos to show you!

Outfit details:
Dress: Evans, Beth Ditto collection
leggings: old navy
shoes: BC Shoes "helicopter" flat

I love it! I love how whimsical it is (there's a peter pan collar that's hard to see from the pictures), I love the length (kind of short!), and I love how it is loose and comfortable. I think I probably should have sized down when I ordered it (I ordered a UK 22, which is a US 18), but I am not sending it back. I'm going to wear it and love it. You'll see it often.

Thanks Elizabeth! I'm now following your blog :)

Gazel - thanks! You did just score a bunch of awesome stuff from Asos though, of which I am jealous :)

Looks great on you! I actually don't love it on everyone, either, so that's saying something. I feel like it's a look that can go campy (nothing wrong with that in theory) really easily, but it just looks sweet on you!

Thanks Alexis! I've really been loving your outfits lately (especially the tucker for target ones!)

I'm still in two minds about this dress. It looks amazing on everyone I see it in but I'm not sure its me! Maybe its because everyone has one! Lol!

I got the denim skirt which I have worn LOTS! Its finally took itself off to the washing machine under protest!!!

PS - LOVE the shoes!

Thanks so much Monkey! I liked the denim skirt too, but didn't feel like it was "me" - but I think you rock it!

Hello Rebecca, great dress and I love it but I am in so much dilemma over what size to get. I am usually a size 20 or 22 by dorothy perkins standard and I'll like to know if it is very stretchy around the waist area because I am thick there and by the size chart, it would probably mean I need to get bigger sizes but i wouldn't like it to swallow me because i am not -that- top heavy and the dress looks a little loose on the top. Could you please advise?

Thank you!

Hey Merry - ok, so I haven't ordered from DP before, other than some leggings I got secondhand which are a size 22. However, I'm a firm 22 in Asos curve sizing and found this dress to run slightly larger than their sizes, but I still think I look good in the 22. It IS rather big on the top, but I think the effect is nice. The dress does have elastic in the back waist that gives it some stretch. I hope this helps!
