Stephanie over at Buttons, Bows & Brogues recently did a piece where she showed 5 pieces that make up her style. I am shamelessly copying this notion, because I think it's a neat idea!
1) Dresses with petticoats underneath
2) Glasses (I actually need them, these are all prescription glasses)
3) Boots
4) Scarves
5) Brooches/sweater clips
What about you? Could you boil down your style to 5 things?

I've loved seeing these style posts! Beth from pretty in plus challenged me to it. Check mine out:

Hi, great pics, I might do one of these too!
my five might be: the dress, the wegdes, the bolero, the leopard prints, and chunky ring.
Welcome to enjoy and follow chez moi!

I love that there is so much variety available in your staples <3
I am so doing this. Mine are probably nautical stripes, pattern mixing, boots (of course!), belts, and short dresses with leggings. I am going to post on this today, too!
Yay! It's like my favorite bloggers all left me a comment!
Monkey - I remember your post from awhile back, but I will def. check it out again.
Anika - I am so excited that you found my blog - I have been following your blog for a few months and really enjoy your style!
Brenda - thanks for stopping by! I actually even have LOTS more brooches (and boots, and scarves, and dresses) but had to narrow it down for brevity's sake).
Alexis - I probably could have picked nautical for you (and probably boots as well). You are a layering champ and I always enjoy seeing your posts!
Hi Rebecca-sweetheart, thank you so much for your comment on my blog and here! you are so cute <3 am putting you on my blogroll :)
and thanks again for the inspiration for this kind of post, will be doing one and linking to you :)
I love your scarves and boots!!! the other things too but I'm slowly getting into fashion again and not brave enough yet to try a sweater clip..even though I just love them on you. I need to get a few from etsy. Where do you get all your scarves ? they are so expensive I have to thrift mine and never find exactly what I want but make due.
Nice idea.
I'll try to do it this week-end
Hey Thriftymomma - I pick my scarves up from wherever - some are from h&M, some are homemade gifts from friends. The one I wear the most is a jersey circle scarf from american apparel (it's the teal one pictured twice) - but you could "make" one yourself by picking up a yard of jersey at the fabric store - get the kind that is already knitted in a tube, like most jersey materials are. No hemming required, just buy a yard of it and wear it around your neck!
Thanks Plumpy!
I LOVE your style. The boots, the haircut, the glasses, everything!
Thanks so much Kim - you are so sweet! I just added your blog to my reader.
i love your style!
