10 Days, No Dresses - Day One

For realsies, I wore jeans today.

Also, it was so overcast today the streetlights came on at 2pm, so these pictures are courtesy of our apartment building hallway. What a lovely exit sign!

Outfit details:
necklace: gift from husband, it's a copper book-shaped locket
scarf that I'm holding in my hand: H&M
jeans: Torrid source of wisdom skinnies, dark wash, size 4
jersey asymmetrical trapezey top: Asos Curve, clearance, size UK22
lace cardigan: Target xxl, clearance, $8!!
awesome cognac brown peep toe heels of awesome: Frye, size 11, I've had them for years but hardly ever wear them because I hardly ever wear heels. But they are so cute!

Folks, this challenge is going to be HARD. I can already tell. I liked my outfit today, but all day I kept thinking "I bet I'd be more comfortable in a dress". When I got home, I couldn't wait to change into my PJs!

The lace cardigan! It's so pretty + it's on clearance = one very lucky Rebecca! I'll be watching out for your challenge because I see you in dresses all the time!

No dresses?! Yikes! You are very brave for accepting the challenge. ;)

At one point it would have seemed daunting to me but the last few months I've been wearing a lot of skirts. Heck, I even started wearing pants again! Who would have thought!

I love the blue and tan combo, the scarf fits in really well. The lace cardigan is fabulous! I avoid Target like the plague these days, sometimes I wish I didn't.

Thanks CurvyEveryday! I'm following you now - and I love your writing style!

Nicole - thanks so much! Sorry I haven't been commenting on your blog lately (well, if ever), I'm totally digging out of a flood of unread reader items!

You look gorgeous! I like Rebecca in jeans even if you're not keen! Also kudos on the brilliant bargains! ASOS curve sale items are such a steal! I've yet to buy anything full price from there :)

FYI - I always change into my pjs when I get in - regardless of what I'm wearing.

Dresses are definitely comfortable - I love them for that. This is an awesome outfit, however. I love the detail on the top and really like the mix of colours you've got going on here!

You look fab in jeans! I am the opposite I would struggle to wear a dress every day I have a few but never wear them and when I do lots of people comment and I am scared off them for a while! It's snowing like mad here at the minute (Northumberland, UK)and I did wear a flowery dress on Sunday but had to put jeans under it as it was blooming freezing!
Love the blog, just found you!

Thanks so much Monkey - you totally made my day!

Allison - thank you!

Kandi - welcome! thanks so much for stopping by! People actually comment when I don't wear a dress now. One day I came to work in yoga pants and a hoodie and people asked me if I felt okay :)

well I am impressed. I gave up jeans all together a few years back, it is impossible to find a pair that actually work on my curvy shape. have been thinking of maybe trying jeggings now :) you do look great! I always wore my jeans with a dress, a boho chic take on jeans, maybe you could do that, or is that cheating on the challenge? LOL
