An OOTD that was an effort, plus a hairband hairstyle (not that kind of hairband)

Hey everyone!

I've been wearing clothes lately, but I also have succumbed to my third sinus infection in a month, so, umm, haven't been making much of an effort.

But! then I got tired of not making an effort and tried to make an effort.

Thus, here are my efforts :).

Worn tonight to go to the mall and eat at CPK. Sometimes I like to pretend I still live in the suburbs by driving to the suburbs and recreating there.

Dress: Asos curve, 22
Underdress: black jersey, old navy, ages ago, 1x
cardi: old navy, xl, 2010
boots: target, 11
scarf: AA circle scarf

I also stretched my ears up to 1/2" tonight, using my new silicone eyelets from Kaos. They say not to stretch with them. I'm not a good listener.

I think they look awesome! I know not everyone will agree.

Sunday night I tried Stephanie's awesome tutorial for hairband hair (not, like, Ratt or Poison "hair band", but headband/elastic hair band thingy "hairband"). I had to tease my hair, use bobby pins and hair spray, so it wasn't exactly as easy as I thought it would be, but I was pleased.

(I've got a better pic of this super cute outfit coming later this week)

"Mmm, I love it when hip new pie shops serve tea in ridiculous small and heavy brown diner mugs!" /whiny lady

their pies, however, are DELICIOUS.

I'm looking forward to seeing the cute outfit you have hiding there! Sorry to hear you are sick again. I traced back the last two throat infections I got were from my friend's kids - I am now using antibac gel whenever I go near the little germbreeders!

Good to see you back on the blogging front. Once you are feeling better we should try and do some more challenges...seeing as we both failed on the last one.

LOL, its a hair band hairband style... hahaha, that's funny! I love scarves, I think they might be my favorite accessory at the moment. Looking good, hon!

Love the outfit! I also have been drooling over the hairstyle that Stephanie wears, thanks for the link to the tute. I even tried it today!

Allison - thank you so much! It is a pretty great cardigan. What's up with ON's stuff running so big lately? I haven't fit into an XL anything in many years.

Theresa - thank you so much for the well wishes and the compliments! You are so sweet.

Monkey - thanks for the well wishes. I know, aren't kids just beastly little disease mongers? :) I emailed you about the challenges.

Notorious - thanks so much! Scarves are the shit, in my opinion.

Eryn - thank you! You look awesome with that hairstyle, I saw it on your blog!

Nly - thank you so much!

I love your stretched ears! They look fabulous. I love earrings too much to do it to mine, but I really love it.

Also, you look adorable as usual!

Thanks Elizabeth! I know, I really miss my earrings as well, though I have stretched before, then gotten tired of them, and let them shrink back down, then stretched up again, so one day I'll probably be able to wear normal earrings again :)
